This support fund is particularly meaningful as it was raised through the good consumption of Kia customers.
On the 1st, Kia Motors held a fund transfer ceremony for the 'Overcome COVID-19 Together' campaign at its headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and announced on the 2nd that it had delivered support funds to companies that contributed to overcoming COVID-19. Considering the COVID-19 situation, the ceremony was held as an online meeting between Kia Motors President Song Ho-sung and representatives of the eight selected companies.
'Overcome COVID-19 Together' is part of Kia Motors' social contribution activity, the 'Good Mobility Campaign.' The Yeolmae Nanum Foundation was responsible for recruiting, selecting, and post-management of participating companies, while Green Car provided the donation accumulation campaign platform and supported selected companies with free Green Car usage vouchers.
The support fund was raised through the donation accumulation campaign 'Finding Hidden Heroes RUN' linked with Green Car. From May 25 to the 28th of last month, for about five weeks, every time a Green Car customer drove a Kia vehicle for 1 km, Kia Motors accumulated a donation of 50 won.
Kia Motors and the Yeolmae Nanum Foundation recruited and screened early-stage startups and small and medium ventures that contributed in various ways such as IT technology, quarantine, and mask donations from May 4 to 29, and delivered support funds of 10 million won each, totaling 80 million won, to the finally selected companies. The selected companies are Kyungsung Technology, The Dash, Disabled, Damwoo, Cooperative Ribbon, Mamanas Cooperative, Dream With Ensemble, and Lifeline Korea, totaling eight companies.
