[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] One additional confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been reported in Daejeon. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 122.
On the 1st, Daejeon City announced that Mr. A, a man in his 70s residing in Byeondong, Seo-gu, tested positive for COVID-19. Mr. A is the husband of the 119th confirmed case in Daejeon, who tested positive the day before.
Mr. A showed suspected COVID-19 symptoms such as fever and loss of appetite starting the previous day, underwent diagnostic testing, and was confirmed positive.
The city plans to investigate Mr. A's movement routes and close contacts.
