Jeonnam Fire Department Establishes System to Shorten Response Time and Secure 'Golden Time'
Nationwide First Self-Developed 'Smart Display System'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Department has embarked on establishing a system that can secure the "golden time" through rapid and accurate dispatch.
Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 1st that it will be the first in the nation to independently develop a "Smart Display System" that allows monitoring of disaster situations in the province at a glance.
Currently, the dispatch command delivery system transmits information in paper document form through dedicated PCs at each fire station, causing unnecessary delays for the initial dispatch teams to confirm accurate dispatch information, according to voices from the field.
In response, the Smart Display System developed by Jeonnam Fire Department classifies dispatch information into fire, rescue, emergency medical service, and others, displaying it on the screen for easy identification through a dedicated monitor.
The dedicated monitors will be installed in various locations where firefighters operate, such as offices, dining rooms, and lounges, to enable rapid dispatch and on-site response anytime and anywhere.
When a dispatch command is received, it is displayed on the monitor with voice broadcasting, using different colors: red for fire, yellow for rescue, green for emergency medical service, and blue for others, allowing quick and accurate understanding of dispatch commands and expected to further reduce dispatch time.
Additionally, a customized system will be established to respond to social changes such as COVID-19, including non-face-to-face video broadcasting, promotional videos, and announcement transmissions, enhancing its use as an information delivery channel.
