Naver Vibe Available on Apple Watch... Music Streaming Service Provided
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver's music service VIBE announced on the 1st that it will provide music streaming services on the Apple Watch.
VIBE released the VIBE app iOS version 1.13.2 with Apple Watch support features on the 29th of last month.
VIBE supports 'Remote Playback Mode' and 'Standalone Playback Mode' on the Apple Watch. In 'Remote Playback Mode,' users can check the 'Up Next' list of songs on the device connected to the Apple Watch and can immediately 'Like' their favorite songs. In 'Standalone Playback Mode,' users can use VIBE's core features and content solely on the Apple Watch without running it directly on the iPhone or any additional settings. This feature is supported on watchOS version 6.1 or higher.
Starting with Apple Watch support, VIBE plans to expand its 'Multi-Device' service to provide users with optimized music experiences across various devices.
Currently, VIBE offers services for 'Android Auto' and 'Apple CarPlay' to conveniently play recommended music in cars. It also supports voice recognition to launch VIBE by linking with Naver's AI platform Clova.
In the future, VIBE plans to add support for Windows PC apps and macOS apps to allow usage without OS restrictions. The Windows PC app is scheduled to be released in July.
