The Health Safety Guide displays the consultation and examination departments provided by the Mapo-gu Health Center, their locations, and contact information for diseases related to each body part using a human-shaped character.
Generally, health centers promote each medical service individually, making it difficult for residents to understand the overall medical services provided by the health center at a glance.
To overcome this issue, the district compiled information on diseases that can occur in all parts of the human body, such as the brain, heart, abdomen, and knees, along with the health center services that examine and treat them, into a single image without limiting it to specific medical services.
For example, it provides information on dedicated institutions or facilities for each body part’s medical services, such as the Dementia Safety Center for brain health, the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Center for heart-related care, and the Physical Therapy Room for knee-related treatment.
By using this, residents can find out where to receive necessary examinations and treatments related to all parts of the body, beyond just specific areas.
The district plans to release the Health Safety Guide materials through its website and SNS and apply it to the civil service information kiosks on the first floor of the health center, allowing users to touch the body parts in the image to receive guidance on related civil procedures and costs.
Meanwhile, the district recently completed copyright registration for this Health Safety Guide and plans to make it available as a public work that anyone can download and use for free.
Accordingly, health centers nationwide can modify the location or phone numbers of facilities according to their circumstances and use it. However, the source must be indicated, and transferring or selling it for a fee is prohibited. Currently, due to the suspension of general medical services at health centers caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), actual use of this guide by residents for medical services is expected to be possible in the future.
