The Gangwon Fire Headquarters received 42 damage reports by 4 p.m. on the 30th, including flooding of houses and roads, fallen trees, and soil runoff.
Flood damages mainly occurred along the East Coast, with 15 cases in Gangneung, 9 in Yangyang, and 5 in Sokcho.
At around 11 a.m., Gangwon Fire took safety measures after soil runoff occurred on the hillside behind a pension in Seomyeon, Yangyang-gun. Around the same time, in Wolli, Yangyang-eup, foreign substances carried by rain and wind blocked a drainage system, causing water to accumulate on the road, which was then cleared.
In Gangneung, at 8:19 a.m., the basement of the Suhyup Bada Mart in Ponam-dong was flooded, and 10 tons of rainwater were pumped out. At 8:34 a.m., a pine tree fell onto the road in Dusan-dong and was secured for safety.
In the Gangneung area, 44 cases of property damage occurred, including flooding of houses, roads, and even farmland.
At around 10 a.m., a report was received that a man in his 20s in Yeongok-myeon, Gangneung City, left his house and did not return. Firefighters and police are conducting a search operation.
Inland, at 11:28 a.m., in Dogwan-ri, Naechon-myeon, Hongcheon-gun, a tree fell onto a house roof, and at 11:01 a.m., in Wontong-ri, Buk-myeon, Inje-gun, a fallen tree covered power lines, causing continuous damages.
At around 7:49 a.m., in Gapcheon-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, a city bus skidded on the wet road and hit a guardrail, injuring five passengers.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that rain will continue tonight and stop, then rain will fall again until tomorrow morning (the 1st).

The expected rainfall by 9 a.m. tomorrow is 50 to 150mm in Yeongdong, 20 to 60mm in Yeongseo, with some areas in the northern and central Yeongdong receiving over 300mm.
