Chosun University-LH Join Hands to Develop 'Smart Services' for Urban Problem Solving
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) have joined forces to discover ‘smart services’ that effectively address urban issues such as fine dust.
On the 30th, Chosun University announced that it signed an agreement with Korea Land and Housing Corporation to mutually cooperate on joint research and utilization of big data for solving urban problems.
Attending the signing ceremony were Han Byunghong, Head of the Smart City Headquarters; Oh Youngoh, Head of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters; Jeong Ukjo, Director of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Regeneration Construction Project Office; Kim Donggeun, Director of Smart City Planning; Shin Gwangho, Director of Smart City Development; Min Yeongdon, President of Chosun University; Lee Jongguk, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation; Lee Minchang, Director of Planning and Coordination; Kim Bongcheol, Director of External Cooperation; Park Sangsoon, Director of General Affairs and Management; Hwang Seokseung, Deputy Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation; and Kim Seonghong, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.
Through this agreement, the Department of Civil Engineering at Chosun University will utilize LH’s ‘Urban Problem Solving Platform (COMPAS)’ to jointly research big data related to urban issues, laying the foundation for industry-academic cooperation to build smart cities.
Specific cooperation includes ▲ discovering and conducting joint research projects ▲ sharing information, exchanging technology, and consulting ▲ educational cooperation and human resource development using the Urban Problem Solving Platform (COMPAS) ▲ and other matters deemed necessary by related organizations such as public project applications.
Han Byunghong, Head of the Smart City Headquarters, stated, “Chosun University will actively utilize LH’s ‘Urban Problem Solving Platform (COMPAS)’ to foster a close cooperative relationship so that research on big data and smart city core technologies can be actively conducted by both institutions.”
