New LCC Aero K, Unveils Official Uniform with 'Genderless' Concept
Introduction of Breathable Pants and Ergonomic Sneakers for Female Flight Attendants' Uniforms
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] The newly established low-cost carrier (LCC) Aero K has unveiled its official uniform with a genderless fashion concept, which does not distinguish boundaries of gender and age.
According to Aero K on the 30th, the newly revealed official uniforms are for maintenance staff, flight crew, and cabin crew, featuring a design that minimizes elements that differentiate gender.
In particular, unlike the existing airline industry that emphasized external features related to specific genders such as "beauty" and "femininity" in female cabin crew uniforms, Aero K removed design elements that hinder mobility from the female cabin crew outfits.
In fact, Aero K's uniforms replaced skirts with breathable pants and introduced ergonomic sneakers to reduce fatigue during long hours of activity.
Kang Byung-ho, CEO of Aero K, said, "The new attempt with Aero K uniforms is the first step to realize our corporate philosophy of creating a young, dynamic, and equal culture that responds to the changes of the times as a startup airline," adding, "It is centered on the purpose of performing the most important task of ensuring passenger safety, breaking away from the fixed perceptions about airline uniforms."
