Accentree Ventures Co., Ltd. Opens AI Company Incubation Center in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Global investment specialist company Accentree Ventures Co., Ltd. has established a Gwangju Center in the AI-focused city of Gwangju and has officially begun discovering and nurturing AI companies in Gwangju.
Accentree Ventures signed a business agreement with Gwangju Metropolitan City, which is accelerating efforts to attract companies to create an AI industrial ecosystem, on May 21, and completed business registration on May 26, opening the "Gwangju Center" on the 30th.
Accentree Ventures is a global investment specialist company that discovers promising companies and nurtures startups into unicorn companies, operating investment funds, providing technology consulting, and functioning as an accelerator specialist company.
At the opening ceremony, an investment agreement ceremony was also held between Gwangju company Cheongho Environment Development Co., Ltd., and AI non-local company Alphado Co., Ltd., which Accentree Ventures has been promoting.
Cheongho Environment Development Co., Ltd. is a water environment specialized company that received Korea's first green technology certification in the low-impact development technology (LID) field, an excellent technology in the environmental sector. This Accentree Ventures investment can be interpreted as active investment in environmental technology companies.
Alphado Co., Ltd. is a company that develops and produces portable spectrometers and self-diagnosis urine test kits for pets using IoT data modeling. The investment agreement relates to the potential for future growth based on big data and AI technology ownership.
Following the investment agreement, Alphado Co., Ltd., an AI non-local company, plans to establish a corporation in Gwangju and settle there, actively cooperating in creating the Gwangju AI ecosystem and job creation.
The opening of Accentree Ventures Gwangju Center is expected to accelerate the entry of other investors into Gwangju and create a virtuous cycle where many talents and companies gather in Gwangju to meet these investors. It is also expected to greatly contribute to entrepreneurship, regional job creation, and the establishment of Gwangju's status as an AI-centered city.
