Gyeongnam Province Launches 30 On-Site Experts for Urban Regeneration Committee
63 Districts in the Province, Leading the Success of the Largest Investment Project Nationwide Worth 530 Billion Won
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 30th that it has launched the ‘Urban Regeneration Committee’ composed of 30 field experts.
The Urban Regeneration Committee is composed of field experts from 19 areas including ‘urban regeneration, culture, arts, tourism, youth, social economy, design, urban planning, and architecture’ to provide integrated support ranging from reviewing urban regeneration-related agendas to on-site consulting and urban regeneration university education.
Currently, in the province, a total of 63 urban regeneration projects worth 530 billion KRW are underway, including the ‘Masan Old Downtown Urban Regeneration Project’ selected in the 2014 government contest as a leading project, 26 New Deal urban regeneration projects, 22 small-scale regeneration projects, 2 urban regeneration smart technology support projects, and 13 province-led urban regeneration New Deal startup projects.
