Jeon Haesang, President of Toray Advanced Materials, Joins 'Thanks Challenge' with Employees
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Jeon Hae-sang, President of Toray Advanced Materials, along with employees, participated in the "Thanks to You Challenge" to express respect and gratitude to medical staff who are dedicating their utmost efforts to overcome the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
President Jeon stated on the 30th, "Despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19, the reason we can live safely is thanks to the sacrifice and hard work of medical staff who are devoted on the front lines of quarantine. All employees sincerely extend our respect," and added, "Toray Advanced Materials will also continue to do its best to supply materials for masks to ensure the safety of the public."
President Jeon participated after being nominated by Jung Cheol-dong, President of LG Innotek, and nominated Lee Wan-jae, President of SKC, Line Ho, President of Dongwoo Fine-Chem, and Park Jong-han, President of Wellkips, as the next participants.
Toray Advanced Materials has contributed to stabilizing supply by promptly supplying the essential MB filter material to resolve the mask shortage, developing electrostatic SMS nonwoven fabric that enables two-layer masks, and recently developing lightweight and breathable droplet-blocking (AD) nonwoven fabric, continuously striving for smooth mask supply.

The "Thanks to You Challenge" is a support campaign started in April by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to encourage medical staff dedicated to treating and preventing the spread of COVID-19. It is conducted in a relay format where three people are nominated to participate in the next campaign.
