Hyundai Department Store Donates 'Grand Bazaar' Proceeds to 17 Regional Children's Centers Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seung-jin] Hyundai Department Store is committed to improving child welfare and children's learning environments. Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, regional children's centers, which require more support than usual, will receive hygiene products and online learning equipment.
On the 30th, Hyundai Department Store announced that it will deliver approximately 14,000 masks, about 1,200 hygiene products such as hand sanitizers, and 180 tablet PCs to 17 regional children's centers partnered with 15 stores nationwide. Earlier in May, Hyundai Department Store held a 'Grand Bazaar' to help partner companies clear out inventory, and pledged to donate part of the event's proceeds.
Before this support, Hyundai Department Store identified the necessary supplies for each regional children's center partnered with each store. Hyundai Department Store explained that due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, they increased the variety of support items compared to previous years and purchased hard-to-find items in bulk to deliver.
Hyundai Department Store also plans to continue various support activities for vulnerable groups in the local community, such as the elderly and disabled, through the 'Parangsae Volunteer Group' composed of customers and employees.
