Iksan Mireuksaji and Wanggung-ri Ruins Shining Even at Night
Cultural Heritage Administration and Iksan City Install Nighttime Landscape Lighting
Visitors can now safely explore Iksan Mireuksaji Temple Site (Historic Site No. 150) and Wanggung-ri Ruins (Historic Site No. 408) at night. This is due to the installation of nighttime landscape lighting around the sites.
On the 29th, the Cultural Heritage Administration and Iksan City announced the activation of nighttime landscape lighting at the two sites. The lighting has been installed mainly around key heritage sites and walking paths. A Cultural Heritage Administration official explained, “This measure is part of the government innovation project ‘Preservation and Management of Baekje Historic Areas.’ We focused on creating a dignified landscape befitting a World Heritage site after review by the Cultural Heritage Committee.”
