[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) announced on the 29th that it has joined the government's ongoing 'Good Prepayment' campaign to revitalize the local economy, which has been depressed due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Good Prepayment campaign is a movement encouraging good consumers to prepay at small business and self-employed establishments such as frequently visited restaurants and shops, and to promise to revisit. Until the 26th, GKL prepaid approximately 140 million won at 105 restaurants near its headquarters and at three Seven Luck business sites in Seoul and Busan.
Ga Hye-sook, who runs a restaurant near GKL headquarters, expressed gratitude, saying, "The number of customers has greatly decreased due to COVID-19, so this help has been a great support. I am truly thankful."
