[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Yoon Young-dal, Chairman of Crown Haitai Confectionery, announced on the 29th that he has joined the 'Flower Bucket Challenge' campaign to help flower farmers struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Chairman Yoon delivered flowerpot sets consisting of three types of foliage plants, including the 'Areca Palm,' which is highly effective for air purification, to 24 public health centers in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. Along with the flowerpot sets, snacks such as 'Haitai Oh Yes' and 'Crown Squeeze Yakgang' were also provided to the medical staff at each health center.
Chairman Yoon Young-dal stated, "I hope this small gesture will help flower farmers who are facing difficulties due to COVID-19," and added, "I wish to convey gratitude and comfort to the medical staff at public health centers who are dedicating themselves on the front lines of COVID-19 prevention to protect the safety of the people."
The air-purifying flowerpot sets delivered this time were purchased directly from the 'Yangju Flower Complex' located in Jangheung-myeon, Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, to provide direct support to local flower farmers and then delivered to the health centers.
