One Additional COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Overseas Arrivals in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Following the confirmation of COVID-19 in a couple in their 60s in Gwangju on the 27th, one more confirmed case has been reported.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 28th, a woman in her 30s, identified as Ms. A, was classified as the 38th confirmed COVID-19 case in Gwangju that afternoon.
Ms. A arrived in South Korea from the United Kingdom at 2:30 PM the previous day via Incheon Airport. She took a dedicated bus for overseas arrivals and arrived at Gwangmyeong Station at 5:20 PM, then transferred to a dedicated KTX train, arriving at Gwangju Songjeong Station at 8:28 PM.
She immediately moved to the Gwangju Fire Academy Dormitory at 9 PM by a dedicated Gwangju city bus.
Following city guidelines, a specimen was collected at 10 AM that day, and she was confirmed positive around 3 PM.
Ms. A reportedly showed no particular symptoms and wore a mask throughout all her movements.
