In Daegu, concerns arose as seven new confirmed cases (including three imported cases) were reported consecutively over five days from the 20th to the 24th, but since the news of a new confirmed case in a man in his 70s on the 27th, no further cases have been reported.
According to Daegu City on the 28th, no new cases occurred the previous day, bringing the total confirmed cases to 6,904 as of midnight. The number of recovered patients is 6,785 (97%), and deaths total 185. Among the 26 confirmed cases in the Daegu area, 24 are hospitalized and receiving treatment at six hospitals nationwide, while two are being treated at residential treatment centers.
Meanwhile, in Gyeongsangbuk-do, where one imported COVID-19 case had been reported daily since the 20th, no new confirmed cases were reported for two consecutive days as of midnight on the 28th.

The number of recovered patients and deaths remain unchanged at 1,282 (95.3%) and 58, respectively.
