Gyeongbuk Province Reports Two Consecutive Days of No New Overseas COVID-19 Cases

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Since the 20th, Gyeongsangbuk-do, where one new case of COVID-19 imported from overseas had been occurring daily, reported no new confirmed cases for two consecutive days as of midnight on the 28th.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 28th, no additional patients were reported as of midnight, keeping the total confirmed cases at 1,345. The number of recovered patients and deaths remained unchanged at 1,282 (95.3%) and 58, respectively.
Currently, five confirmed patients are hospitalized and receiving treatment at Andong Medical Center (2 patients) and Dongguk University Gyeongju Hospital (3 patients).
Meanwhile, on the 24th and 26th, a 38-year-old woman and her 9-year-old son, who arrived from Kazakhstan, were confirmed as COVID-19 positive in Gyeongju City, Gyeongbuk. Earlier, on the 22nd and 20th, one Bangladeshi individual each in Gyeongsan and Goryeong tested positive consecutively. The case on the 20th (imported case) was the first in 14 days.
