Samsung Launches First Energy Efficiency Grade 1 QLED TV... Up to 600,000 KRW Discount
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Samsung Electronics announced on the 28th that it has launched a QLED TV with an energy consumption efficiency rating of Grade 1. This product is the QT67 series, consisting of six models in sizes 43, 50, 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches.
Following its existing Crystal UHD TV, Samsung Electronics has introduced the first Grade 1 energy consumption efficiency QLED TV in Korea, expanding consumer choices.
This product features a QLED display with 100% color volume for excellent color reproduction and applies Quantum HDR to vividly display HDR images, combining high image quality and economic efficiency.
The retail price of the new QLED QT67 series ranges from 990,000 to 5,490,000 KRW depending on the product size.
The newly released QLED TV is eligible for the "Top Efficiency Home Appliance Purchase Cost Rebate Program" implemented by the Korea Energy Management Corporation, allowing individuals to receive a 10% rebate on the purchase amount up to a maximum of 300,000 KRW per person.
In particular, if a Grade 1 QLED model of 55 inches or larger is purchased by the end of September, Samsung Electronics offers an additional benefit worth 300,000 KRW, enabling a maximum discount of up to 600,000 KRW including the rebate.
Joo Joongseok, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, said, "Samsung TVs have recently been striving to deliver meaningful value to consumers beyond image quality, such as launching eco-packaging and obtaining eye protection safety certification," adding, "The newly launched Grade 1 energy consumption efficiency QLED TV will also contribute to energy savings."

According to the latest forecast by market research firm OMDIA, global QLED TV sales in the first half of this year are expected to reach approximately 3.19 million units, an increase of more than 50% compared to 2.12 million units in the same period last year, and annual sales are projected to grow 34% from 5.97 million units last year to 7.98 million units.
