Jeonju City, Large-Scale Good Consumption Promotion Event 'Let's Overcome, Let's Overcome... Overcome the Crisis!'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyung] Jeonju City has launched a large-scale consumption promotion event involving citizens and local businesses to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19.
On the 26th, as part of the ‘Jeonju Good Campaign’ to overcome the COVID-19 economic crisis, the city, along with citizens and over 800 local businesses, began a consumption promotion movement.
To spread the atmosphere of the Jeonju Good Campaign, which will run for one month until the 26th of next month, the city plans to invigorate the local economy through various consumption promotions such as ‘Jeonju Good Consumption Da(多)’, ‘Good Big Market’, and ‘Good Artist’.
In the case of ‘Jeonju Good Consumption Da(多)’, a total of over 800 businesses, including 500 local dining establishments, 200 supermarkets, 80 lodging businesses (including hotels), traditional markets, and major shopping districts, will participate in large-scale discount events. Participating businesses will offer discounts on products or service fees to encourage overall consumption.
For consumers participating in the discount events, a Good Consumption certification event will also be held. At the same time, a ‘Good Superman Service’ will be operated to assist seniors and pregnant women shopping at traditional markets such as Nambu, Sinjungang, Moraenae, and Seobu by carrying their bags.
Additionally, the ‘Jeonju Good Big Market’ will hold a special sale of social economy products, excellent products from Buy Jeonju, and high-quality agricultural products from Jeonju Food on the 11th of next month at Cheotmajung-gil in front of Jeonju Station.
Along with this, at major bases and event venues of the Jeonju Good Campaign and in apartment complexes, local cultural artists and groups will participate to hold busking performances and veranda concerts to heal the weary hearts caused by COVID-19 and to boost the consumption promotion atmosphere.
