[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government will hold the "2020 First Half Public-Private Cooperation Forum" to discuss the overseas export strategies of "K-Quarantine." K-Quarantine refers to the policies implemented by Seoul during the response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
At the online forum hosted by the Seoul Overseas City Cooperation Office at 2 p.m. on the 2nd of next month, the Seoul Policy Export Project Team will explain cases and processes of overseas expansion of existing excellent policies, while the Seoul Public Health Medical Foundation will present proactive on-site response cases such as the operation of the COVID-19 Screening Clinic Support Team, development of the COVID-19 guideline application, and the formation of the COVID-19 support team, as well as mid- to long-term response plans.
Additionally, related organizations such as KOTRA will introduce essential preparations for overseas business of quarantine supplies and medical devices, as well as non-face-to-face businesses led by KOTRA after COVID-19. The Korea Health Industry Development Institute will suggest directions for supporting companies, including company matching through the Medical Device Industry Comprehensive Support Center and clinical evaluations using specimens.
Private companies in the quarantine and medical device sectors, such as Seegene, will present successful cases of exporting COVID-19 diagnostic kits and their successful entry into markets like Brazil and the United States, while Green Pure Tech will share cases of exporting screening clinic equipment such as mobile walk-through booths. The forum will also be broadcast live through Seoul City's official YouTube channel and Live Seoul.
