On the same day, Go posted on her Facebook, stating, "The regularization of non-regular workers has come to be seen as a sin."
She pointed out, "Job seekers preparing for public enterprise employment complain that those who are converted to regular positions are taking away their spots. Conflicts are intensifying as fake news claiming that annual salaries rise to around 50 million won due to regularization is spreading through the media," and added, "Some opposition party members are joining the criticism, calling it a 'lottery regular job.'"
She continued, "However, the essence of this issue starts from the 'distorted reality overflowing with non-regular workers suffering from all kinds of discrimination,'" explaining, "During the IMF (financial crisis), regular workers fell to non-regular status, and non-regular workers filled the vacancies left by regular workers."
She added, "As a result, even when doing the same work at the same workplace, wages and treatment differ, and non-regular workers have ended up taking on jobs responsible for the lives and safety of the public."
In particular, she emphasized, "We must provide solutions for Jang Geu-rae and Mr. Kim from Guui Station, who are suffering from discrimination at their workplaces even today," and stressed, "The direction is clear. It is 'job normalization.' We must return to the common sense that anyone with ability and willingness should be given the right to work stably."
Amid ongoing conflicts over the regularization of non-regular workers at Incheon International Airport Corporation, a Blue House petition opposing this had garnered over 230,000 signatures as of 7 a.m. on the same day.
The petitioner criticized, "The conversion to regular positions at Incheon International Airport is truly shocking," adding, "More people are being converted to regular positions than the number of regular employees. They will consume the labor union and the company. The company will become one for them."
They continued, "What crime have job seekers who build their specs and study to enter this place, as well as current employees, committed? Is taking away the positions of those who work hard equality?" and questioned, "In a company where, for office positions, you have to score nearly perfect on TOEIC just to pass the document screening, is it fair that people with similar specs?or even without taking any test?are all converted?"
