Jeonbuk Office of Education Wanju Library Operates 'Humanities on the Road' Selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] The Wanju Library of Jeonbuk Office of Education announced on the 25th that it has been selected for the "Humanities on the Road" program hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and will conduct humanities lectures.
This lecture series will be held a total of 10 times from next month 7th to November 3rd under the theme "Catching Up with the Footsteps of Our Region" through lectures and explorations.
The first phase, titled "Nature, Culture, and History of Wanju-gun," will be held every Tuesday morning for a total of 5 sessions from next month 7th to August 11th, with the subtitle focusing on Wanju's natural environment and geography.
The second phase of lectures, under the theme "The Fiery Life and Literature of Novelist Choi Myung-hee," will be held every Tuesday morning for a total of 5 sessions from October 6th to November 3rd. The subtitle is about discussing the life and literature of novelist Choi Myung-hee.
A representative of the Wanju Library of Jeonbuk Office of Education said, "We hope this lecture series will provide local residents with an opportunity to reflect on our hometown with a humanities perspective and to promote a culture of reading."
