25 United Future Party Lawmakers to Pay Tribute at Baekbeom Kim Gu's Tomb on the 71st Anniversary of His Death
'Granddaughter of Patriot Yun Bong-gil' Assemblywoman Yoon Joo-kyung's Proposal, Gathering Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] On the 26th, members of the United Future Party will pay their respects at the tomb of Baekbeom Kim Gu, located in Hyochang Park, to commemorate the 71st anniversary of his death.
This was arranged at the suggestion of Representative Yoon Joo-kyung, the granddaughter of independence activist Yoon Bong-gil. Yoon's office stated, "The official memorial ceremony originally scheduled for this day was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, so we proposed individual visits to the tomb to some members. Many members have expressed their desire to participate together." A total of 25 members of the United Future Party will join the tomb visit.
