A Man in His 30s Arrested for Crashing into Curb and Vehicle While Drunk in Busan School Zone

The Haeundae Police Station in Busan announced on the 24th that they have booked A (30) on charges including drunk driving and are currently investigating.
A is suspected of driving about 5 km in a heavily intoxicated state in a school zone in Haeundae, Busan, around 10:30 a.m. that day.
Afterward, A reportedly continued zigzag driving, crossing the center line, then stopped the vehicle about 100 meters away and fled the scene.
Police, responding to a citizen's report, found A receiving treatment from the 119 emergency medical team near the accident site and arrested him on the spot.
At the time, A's blood alcohol concentration was confirmed to be at the license cancellation level (0.08% or higher).
Police reported that A had been drinking at a pub in Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu, before driving over 5 km to the accident location.
