On the 24th, the production company Big Picture Mart announced, "SF9 members Inseong, Hwiyoung, actor Kim Nuri, influencer Moon Sanghoon, and others have been cast in the web drama 'Dokgobin is Updating' and recently completed the first filming successfully."
Scheduled to premiere in August, 'Dokgobin is Updating' is a friendship comedy drama about a clumsy but adorable college student Ha Deokho (played by Inseong) and an AI robot Dokgobin (played by Hwiyoung) who is perfect but has a warmer heart than anyone else.
Inseong, a fellow group member, plays the kind but clueless "natural-born dork" freshman Ha Deokho. Hwiyoung appears as the "face genius" AI robot Dokgobin and is expected to deliver a passionate performance.
In this work, Dokgobin, played by Hwiyoung, was supposed to be a masterpiece born from the perfect combination of hardware and software, but due to an unknown defect, the character was released as "unfinished."
Especially, Hwiyoung's dazzling visuals and acting skills are expected to harmonize and delight viewers.
Meanwhile, SF9, which Hwiyoung belongs to, will make a comeback in the music scene on the 6th of next month with their eighth mini-album '9loryUS' (Glorious). '9loryUS' is the first album in six months since their first full-length album 'First Collection' released last year, capturing the hot and brilliant moment when all nine members come together as one.
