Ministry of Economy and Finance Holds National Participatory Budget Contest for University Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on the 24th that it will hold a National Participation Budget College Student Contest. The National Participation Budget System is designed to increase public interest in the budget by allowing citizens to participate in the proposal, review, and prioritization processes of budget projects.
Applications are open from today until August 31. Any college student, graduate student, or student on leave can apply.
The Ministry plans to select the winners in December after written evaluations by October and final evaluations in November. The evaluation criteria include the originality of the idea, suitability for central government projects, and concrete implementation plans.

Prizes will be awarded to 24 winning teams. In particular, one team will receive the Grand Prize, which includes a commendation from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance and a prize of 2 million won.
