On the 24th, Lotte Hotel Jeju announced that it will introduce the 'Kids Station,' the first in the hotel industry to adopt 'dining projection mapping' technology.
Projection mapping is a technology that projects light-based images onto the surface of an object to create changes, making the real object appear as if it has a different character. With 3D stereoscopic images and sound, the Kids Station feels like a living, moving space.
At the Kids Station, images of dolphins and fish swimming are projected among kids-only dishes, giving the sensation of dining underwater. Storybook videos are displayed on the tables to stimulate children's curiosity and imagination. The videos are developed in various ways according to seasonal concepts.
Earlier, on the 20th, the largest all-day dining restaurant in Jeju, 'The Canvas,' was opened. The Canvas is located on the 6th floor of the main building of Lotte Hotel Jeju, occupying the largest space in Jeju at approximately 600 pyeong (about 1,982 square meters) with a total of 420 seats. It features five private rooms and offers a buffet along with various ? la carte dishes. Especially popular are ten Jeju specialty dishes made with fresh, seasonal Jeju ingredients under the theme 'Farm to Table,' including Jeju squid mulhoe and black pork aged kimchi stew.
