The donation ceremony took place the day before at the Goodwill Store Daejeon branch to realize the social value of public institutions. It was conducted as part of a relay activity among seven public institutions belonging to 'Publico Daejeon.'
The Small Enterprise and Market Service participated this time by explaining the purpose of the donation through the social network service (SNS) of the first participating institution and designating the next participating institution with a hashtag (#).
Publico Daejeon was named by combining 'Public,' meaning public enterprise, and the Latin phrase 'Pro Bono Publico,' meaning for the public good. It is a social contribution collaboration brand aimed at strengthening the social responsibility of seven public institutions in the Daejeon area practicing public interest and promoting mutual development among institutions.
Cho Bonghwan, Director of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, said, "As the burden on socially vulnerable groups has increased due to the economic downturn caused by COVID-19, we hope that the 'Fund for Job Independence for the Disabled' raised through this challenge will be a practical help in overcoming the local community crisis."
