On the 27th at 3 PM, 'Youth Policy Proposal Presentation' Held at Songpa-gu Office Auditorium... Active Proposals Through Policies Like Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Mentoring App, Youth Committee, and Youth Festival
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) will hold the 'Songpa Youth Policy Proposal Presentation' at 3 PM on the 27th in the main auditorium of the district office.
Earlier, the district held the '2019 Youth Grand Debate' in November last year, where about 200 youths participated to enable young people to proactively assess youth issues and propose policies.
Since then, the agendas proposed at the debate have undergone an eight-month deliberation process including research and meetings by the 'Songpa Youth Network' to concretize them into policies.
This policy proposal presentation is an occasion for the Songpa Youth Network to present the solutions and deliberation results on youth issues they have discussed so far, and to formally propose them as youth policies.
Under the theme 'The Voice of Songpa Youth Becomes Policy!', about 60 people including members of the Songpa Youth Network and participants of the Youth Grand Debate will attend.
The Songpa Youth Network announced plans such as developing the 'Songpa Employment and Startup Job Mentoring Platform,' a small-scale 1:1 matching mentoring app for youth jobs by each subcommittee; implementing a 'Youth Committee Member Allocation System' to reflect youth voices in district administration; organizing 'Songpa For You Festival,' a youth-led festival to solve community problems; and operating the 'Songpa Youth Cap YouTube Channel' to share youth issues and policies with residents, proposing these as practical youth policies.
The district plans to actively incorporate the presentation tasks into district youth policies, including applying for the 'Seoul Youth Policy Governance Activation Project' next year.

Park Seong-su, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “This 'Youth Policy Proposal Presentation' is a valuable asset where the voices of youth develop into sustainable youth policies,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to ensure that the voices of youth are reflected in effective policies through ongoing engagement with young people.”
