Gyeongnam Office of Education Accelerates Construction of Jinju Library ... Scheduled to Open in 2023
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 23rd that the Jinju Library construction project was deemed 'appropriate' in its internal investment review, and will proceed with the library construction.
This project involves relocating and redeploying the Jinyang Library, located in Munsan-eup, Jinju, to Chungmugong-dong, Jinju.
The total area is 7,542㎡, with one basement floor and four above-ground floors. The total project cost is 24.9 billion KRW, with the project period starting next month and aiming for opening in December 2023.
The Jinju Library project was initiated in 2018 to build a future-oriented library within the Innovation City.
The current Jinyang Library is an old, small library that is insufficient to meet the increased demands of users, so it will be expanded and reorganized into a complex cultural space-type library.
