Beijing Reports 13 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Confirmed Cases Reach 249 (Update)

On the 23rd, the National Health Commission of China (NHC) announced that as of midnight, there were 22 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in China. Among them, 9 cases were imported infections from overseas. The remaining 13 cases all originated in Beijing.
Since one cluster infection case was reported on the 11th, Beijing saw double-digit new cases daily from the 13th to the 20th. However, on the 21st, the number dropped to single digits, only to return to double digits on the 22nd.
