Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok Conducts On-site Quarantine Inspection at 'Superrace Championship'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, visited the site of the ‘Superrace Championship’ held on the 20th at Yeongam International Circuit, checked the COVID-19 prevention and safety management status, and encouraged the event officials.
The ‘2020 CJ Logistics Superrace Championship’ is the 100th race in the history of Superrace and is the highest-level motorsports event in Korea.
The event organizer, Superrace Co., Ltd., held the event after thorough preparations including prior entry applications, temperature checks, health questionnaires, mask-wearing, and compliance with social distancing rules to ensure safe event operation.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, the event was held without spectators, but the final race was broadcast live on Channel A, Channel A Plus, and XtvN.

Governor Kim said, “Although the social atmosphere has been subdued due to COVID-19, I hope that all citizens will continue to wear masks and practice social distancing in daily life to overcome this early,” and added, “I ask for active cooperation and exemplary conduct in the motorsports field as well.”
