Daegu City Begins On-Site Registration for COVID-19 'Employment Security Support Fund'
Employment Center Visit Registration Until July 20
First 2 Weeks Operate 5-Day Rotation by Birth Year

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City will start on the 22nd the on-site registration for the 'Emergency Employment Stability Support Fund' for special-type workers and freelancers, small business owners, and unpaid leave workers whose income or sales have decreased due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Applicants can visit the employment center in charge of their address or the nearest employment center from the 22nd until the 20th of next month, bringing their ID card, application form, and supporting documents. However, considering the expected influx of applications at the beginning of on-site registration, applications will be accepted in a five-day rotation system based on birth year for the first two weeks until July 3rd.
Since the 1st, online applications through the dedicated website have exceeded approximately 740,000 nationwide. Considering this trend, Daegu City decided to start on-site applications earlier than the originally planned schedule (July 1st).

Jung Kyung-hoon, head of the Daegu Regional Employment and Labor Office, requested, "Since parking spaces at local Employment Welfare Plus Centers are insufficient, please use public transportation when visiting for on-site registration," and Ahn Jung-gon, director of Daegu City's Job Investment Bureau, stated, "We will actively promote so that those who have not been able to apply online due to unfamiliarity with computers or mobile devices can apply on-site without omission."
