Gyeonggi-do Launches Support for Single-Person Nano (NANO) Creative Enterprises
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is launching support for nano (NANO) one-person creative enterprises.
The Korea Nano Technology Institute announced on the 21st that it will recruit participating companies for this year's 'Nano One-Person Creative Enterprise Support' to discover and nurture one-person creative enterprises in the nano field with high technology commercialization potential and creative items.
The recruitment target is one-person creative enterprises, including prospective entrepreneurs with nano field items in the province. Applications are open until the 31st of next month.
The institute will provide the selected companies with the benefit of moving into the Korea Nano Technology Institute One-Person Creative Enterprise Support Center for six months starting September 1st.
Residents with excellent startup activities can extend their stay after a renewal review.
Selected companies will receive free support for office space, office equipment, meeting rooms, and more during their residency. They will also receive network support for market development, which is often lacking for one-person entrepreneurs, along with customized support programs such as technology startup education and mentoring. In particular, resident companies can establish a foundation for commercializing their startup items through systematic and comprehensive support, including advanced research and equipment facilities, technical advice, and education provided by the Korea Nano Technology Institute.
This project has been operated since 2014 with support from Gyeonggi Province and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Last year, it was recognized as an excellent support center by receiving an A grade in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups evaluation.
A provincial official stated, "We will provide multifaceted support so that one-person creative enterprises in the province can grow early, thereby revitalizing the nano industry economy and inducing job creation."
