On the 19th, Xing Haiming, the Chinese Ambassador to Korea, invited Chairman Kwon to the Chinese Embassy in Myeong-dong, Seoul, presented him with the letter of appreciation, and exchanged opinions on ways to cooperate in Korea-China civil exchanges.
Ambassador Xing said, "Chairman Kwon is a true friend of China who leads Korea-China friendship in fields such as politics and economy," and added, "We will actively support the Korea-China Urban Friendship Association's exchange activities."
Chairman Kwon responded, "Korea-China friendship is the central axis of peace and prosperity in East Asia, so I will promote exchange activities for Korea-China friendship more actively in the future."
Chairman Kwon was recognized for his contributions to Korea-China exchanges in various fields, including establishing the Korea-China Urban Friendship Association, a corporation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2016, facilitating exchanges between local governments of Korea and China, and operating high-level civil dialogues between the two countries.
At the event, 13 executives and members of the executive team attended, including Jo Gwang-je, advisory chairman of the Korea-China Urban Friendship Association (Chairman of Seoul Media Graduate School), Park Shin-gyu, security advisory member (retired Air Force Lieutenant General), Lee Mu-ho, cultural chairman (National Assembly Seodohoe instructor), Seo Gang-ok, vice chairman of economics (CEO of Seogwang Technology), Min Byung-sung, chairman of Incheon Metropolitan City (CEO of Withwin), Nam Kyung-bo, vice chairman and head of Pocheon branch (CEO of Propac), Kwon Oh-gang, vice chairman (CEO of Northeast Asia Logistics Center), Park Jung-chul, vice chairman (CEO of Daejeong Trading), Jeong Yong-ik, head of Goyang branch (CEO of Mir Communications), Moon Hee-gwon, head of Uijeongbu branch (Vice President of LM Construction), Son Seung-woo, vice chairman (CEO of Seed and Sweat), and director Jo Ye-ryeong.
From the Chinese Embassy, Fang Kun, Minister Counselor, Wang Wei, spokesperson and political affairs director, Cheng Chuanxing, secretary, and Li Mengge, secretary, were present.

Chairman Kwon previously worked as a reporter for Hankyoreh Newspaper, political director at the Blue House, chairman of Yeongnam Daily Newspaper, chairman of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Civil Organizations Council, director of the Human Development Research Institute, and visiting scholar at Tsinghua University in China.
