Gwangyang-si Officially Launches Basic Living Hub Development Project in Daap-myeon
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced on the 19th that it will invest 3.8 billion KRW to actively begin construction in June for the Daap-myeon Basic Living Base Development Project.
The "Daap-myeon Basic Living Base Development Project" was selected in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' 2019 Basic Living Base Development Project competition. A total of 3.8 billion KRW, including 2.66 billion KRW in national funds and 1.14 billion KRW in city funds, will be invested to build the Jeongdam Center in the Gosari area of Daap-myeon and to expand living convenience, cultural, and welfare infrastructure such as creating a natural playground.
The city established the basic plan by collecting opinions from local residents and consulting experts in various fields, and plans to start construction in June and complete the project by the end of next year.
Jung Yang-soon, head of the Rural Vitality Team, said, "Once the Daap-myeon Basic Living Base Development Project is completed, residents' access to culture and welfare benefits will increase, which is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of the rural area of Daap-myeon and improve the living standards."
