McDonald's to Hire 260,000 This Summer in the US... Twice the Size of Competitors Combined
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The famous American fast-food chain McDonald's is drawing attention by planning to hire 260,000 people domestically this summer.
On the 18th (local time), the US economic media CNBC reported that McDonald's announced this plan.
The number McDonald's plans to hire is about twice as many as the combined hiring plans previously announced by four other major dining chains: Subway, Taco Bell, Panda Express, and Dunkin'.
McDonald's hiring plan is notable as it comes at a time when millions of restaurant workers lost their jobs due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Headquartered in Chicago, McDonald's is one of the private companies with the largest number of employees in the United States.
As COVID-19 shows signs of easing, McDonald's is gradually reopening its chain stores across the US.
