‘Gwangju Sangsaeng Card’ Special Discount Extended Until August
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 19th that it will extend the 10% special discount period for the Gwangju Sangsaeng Card, originally scheduled to end this month, until the end of August to revitalize the local economy weakened by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The decision on whether to extend the special discount period after the end of August will be made later, considering the funding situation.
As of the 15th, a total of 445.6 billion won worth of Gwangju Sangsaeng Cards have been issued, contributing to increased sales for small business owners and becoming a driving force for the local economy.
In particular, various policy funds totaling about 242 billion won, including emergency household living expenses, emergency disaster relief funds, and temporary living support funds for low-income groups provided to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, have been paid through the Sangsaeng Card, greatly contributing to increased sales for local small business owners and economic revitalization.
