Chosun University-Gwangju Disabled Student Support Center, Assistive Technology Device Support MOU
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Disability Student Support Center announced on the 19th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Assistive Device Center to support assistive technology devices for disabled university students.
The signing ceremony took place at 2 p.m. on the same day at the Gwangju Metropolitan City Assistive Device Center.
Through this MOU, free rental and support of assistive technology devices for disabled university students will be provided, and exchange activities such as assistive device exhibitions involving the Gwangju Metropolitan City Assistive Device Center during Chosun University's disability awareness events are expected to become more active.
Jo Gyuseon, head of the Disability Student Support Center, said, "Assistive technology devices are essential tools for students with disabilities to study, and this agreement will be a strong support for our university's disabled students in the future."
Meanwhile, assistive technology devices are devices designed or functionally adapted using engineering technology to suit the physical conditions and work environments of the elderly or disabled, including braille information terminals, wheelchairs, functional chairs, and bone conduction hearing aids.

The Gwangju Assistive Device Center was established in 2011 with support from the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Gwangju City. The center provides customized assistive device services through consultation and evaluation for those in need of assistive devices.
