Imsil-gun Promotes Maintenance of Major Hiking Trails for Summer Season
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun will maintain major hiking trails in the area for summer hikers in June.
According to the county, to maintain the major hiking trails in the area, a budget of 25 million KRW has been allocated and reallocated to 11 towns and townships for 28 routes (83 km), including Seongsusan and Hoemunsan hiking trails.
The respective towns and townships plan to minimize hikers' inconvenience by removing unwanted shrubs around the hiking trails on the main routes that were pre-inspected from mid-June to the end of July.
A county official stated, "We expect this hiking trail maintenance to have a preventive effect on safety accidents. Since there are still many sections that require maintenance due to accident risks and inconveniences in use, we plan to provide hikers with a safe and pleasant environment through continuous maintenance."
