Jangsu-gun, Groundbreaking for Geumgang Cheotmul Tteunbongsaem Ecotourism Site Development Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dallyoung] The second phase of the ecological tourism development project, which includes the creation of an ecological experience and learning center in the area around Tteunbongsaem, the source of the Geumgang River in Jangsu-gun, is set to begin in earnest.
On the 18th, Jangsu-gun announced that it has started construction and will actively promote the "Geumgang First Water Tteunbongsaem Ecotourism Development Project (Phase 2)" in Tteunbongsaem Ecological Park in Jangsu-eup, Subun Village, and the Subunryeong area.
The second phase of the Geumgang First Water Tteunbongsaem Ecotourism Development Project, which will run from this month until December, will include the creation and restoration of a birch healing forest, an ecological experience space for wildlife habitats, and the Geumgang First Water Trail. Additionally, the landscape of Subun Village is expected to be improved.
The county plans to build tourism infrastructure by promoting the ecotourism site through training experts such as natural environment interpreters and Subun Village eco-managers, linking school trip groups and Jeonbuk tour programs, and registering additional environmental certifications.
Programs aimed at increasing residents' income, such as ecological meals, village experiences, and sales of agricultural specialty products, will also be developed and promoted.
