Green Cross LabCell Obtains Japan Patent for NK Cell Production Using T Cell Lines... 'World's Only Technology'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Green Cross LabCell announced on the 18th that it has registered a patent in Japan for a method of manufacturing natural killer cells using T cells. The method is described as a natural killer cell manufacturing method characterized by culturing raw cells using a CD4(+) T cell line as feeder cells.
The company stated, "The method of manufacturing natural killer cells using a T cell line is a unique technology held exclusively by Green Cross LabCell worldwide," and explained, "It can selectively proliferate only natural killer cells from a small amount of raw cells while maintaining the high efficacy of natural killer cells, enabling stable production."
It added, "Currently, a portion of the raw material is used as feeder cells necessary for NK cell culture," and "With the development of this patented technology, 100% of the raw material can be used for NK cell culture."
