Coupang Supports Chungbuk SMEs with 'Cheer Up Korea' Special Exhibition
Up to 49% Discount on Over 400 Types of Chungbuk Local Small Business Products Until Year-End
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Coupang announced on the 18th that it will hold the second "Cheer Up Korea" promotional event in collaboration with Chungcheongbuk-do. The Cheer Up Korea event for regional coexistence is conducted through cooperation between Coupang and local governments. Coupang directly purchases products from Chungbuk area companies and supports marketing to help increase their sales.
Sales of Chungbuk companies participating in the first Cheer Up Korea event in April increased threefold compared to the same period last year. In particular, Daeseung I&P Co., Ltd., which sells pet mats and noise insulation mats, and Ikim Co., Ltd., which sells kimchi and side dishes, recorded sales growth of over 3100% compared to the same period last year, achieving the highest performance among Chungbuk companies participating in the event.
The second Cheer Up Korea event by Coupang and Chungbuk Province will continue until the end of the year. Popular products from Chungbuk companies, such as sugar-selected apples from Chungbuk Horticultural Agricultural Cooperative's base APC and Gyodong Beef Bone and Cabbage Soup from Gyodong Food Co., Ltd., will be offered at discounts of up to 49%.
