Sports Facilities and Public Parking Lot to Be Built in Ttukseom Yusuji, Seongsu-dong
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Donghyun] A complex cultural and sports center and a public parking lot will be built within Ttukseom Retention Basin in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
On the 18th, Seoul City announced that it held the 9th Urban Planning Committee meeting on the 17th and approved a revised urban planning facility decision change plan for the construction of such facilities in the area of Seongsu-dong 1-ga 685-63.
The site, which was already designated as an urban planning facility in 1967, has been used by creating a wetland ecological park in 2005 and a soccer field in 2008. With this urban planning facility change decision, by overlapping the designation of sports facilities and parking lots, it has become possible to build a complex cultural and sports center with four floors above ground and a total floor area of approximately 5,428㎡, and a public parking lot with 366 parking spaces on part of the retention basin. The construction of these facilities is planned to start in October this year and be completed by 2022.
