Eight Episodes to Be Released Sequentially Until the 26th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea Tourism Organization began sharing messages from Hallyu stars encouraging the overcoming of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) overseas on the 17th.
The first Hallyu star to deliver a message that day was Girls' Generation's Yoona. She encouraged, "If everyone does their best to prevent COVID-19 in their own places, daily life will recover faster," and added, "Let's meet again on the day we all return to healthy daily lives." This message was released through the Korea Tourism Organization's YouTube channel, Korea Tourism Organization TV, and the overseas tourism promotion website 'VisitKorea.'
The COVID-19 overcoming encouragement messages from Hallyu stars are part of a campaign promoted by the Korea Tourism Organization to sustain foreigners' interest in Korean tourism. A total of eight message videos featuring K-pop idols and K-movie stars are scheduled. One video will be released daily in sequence, excluding weekends, until the 26th. All Hallyu stars participating in the campaign contributed their talents voluntarily.
