According to Jeonju City on the 17th, third-year student A at Jeonju Girls' High School attended school on the morning of the previous day (16th), but later experienced headaches and fever symptoms. She underwent a COVID-19 test at the Jeonju City Health Center screening clinic and tested positive the following day. Currently, student A has been transferred to Jeonbuk National University Hospital and is hospitalized.
Accordingly, health authorities have conducted a full investigation of three family members of student A and 883 students and staff at Jeonju Girls' High School. A comprehensive investigation is also underway at an academy in the Jeonju New Town area that student A attends. The infection status of those subject to the full investigation is expected to be confirmed on the 17th.
