Hwasun-gun to Operate 'Village-Visiting Farming Technology Education' Starting from the 22nd
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 17th that it will operate the 'Summer On-site Farming Technology Education Visiting Villages' from the 22nd of this month to the 10th of next month.
The education will be conducted in the form of visiting villages directly to discuss farming difficulties, and the touring education is expected to involve about 970 farmers from 65 villages in 13 towns and townships.
Through the education, the county plans to check the farming situation in the first half of the year and promote outdoor education on crop-specific coping methods for rice, chili peppers, sesame, pest control techniques for the invasive pest brown marmorated stink bug, appropriate fertilization, and fire blight in fruit trees.
To block the local inflow and prevent the spread of COVID-19, the education will be conducted strictly adhering to social distancing in daily life, and education on COVID-19 prevention and management methods will also be provided.
