Incheon City Hall and City Council to Implement 'QR Code Electronic Entry Log' Starting from the 17th
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City will introduce and operate an electronic entry log (KI-Pass) at the city hall and city council starting from the 17th.
Accordingly, all visitors to the government building must be issued a personal QR code and scan it before entry. However, to reduce inconvenience for citizens, a manual visitor log will also be operated in parallel.
Since the electronic entry log has been implemented nationwide at high-risk facilities for COVID-19 since the 10th, the city decided to proactively respond to quarantine by introducing it to the city hall, which receives many visitors.
The personal QR code can be issued immediately by logging into the Naver app (web) on a smartphone, and the collected personal information is securely protected through a dual storage system and automatically deleted after 4 weeks.
The electronic entry log is linked to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency’s epidemiological investigation support system, enabling immediate identification of contacts if a confirmed case visits the city hall, allowing for rapid quarantine measures.

An official from Incheon City stated, "Although the city hall is not a facility required to implement the electronic entry log, it was promoted because it is a place used by many citizens. In the event of a COVID-19 outbreak, rapid response such as contact tracing is possible, and there are plans to expand its introduction to city-affiliated institutions and business offices in the future."
