Sejong City Selects and Supports 10 Star Companies Including Kyungdeok Industry Co., Ltd.
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 16th that, together with the Sejong Technopart Foundation, it has selected 10 local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as star companies and will support them with technology innovation and export strategy consulting.
The star companies were selected from SMEs engaged in key local industries and related sectors, with an average annual sales revenue between 3 billion and 50 billion KRW over the past three years, and a permanent workforce of 10 or more employees.
As a result, this year’s star companies include: Happy S&P Paper Co., Ltd., IC Food Co., Ltd., SciTech Co., Ltd., MIT Korea Co., Ltd., EPC Korea Co., Ltd., Micro Image Co., Ltd., Saerom Tech Co., Ltd., Daeyoung Profile Co., Ltd., Daeyang Industry Co., Ltd., and Gyeongdeok Industry Co., Ltd.
The city will allocate a budget of around 300 million KRW per company over the next three years, assign dedicated Project Managers (PMs), and provide support for technology innovation (such as R&D planning) and export strategy consulting to help these companies enter overseas markets.
